When the Tennessee Titans re-signed Kerry Collins (one of three active NFL quarterbacks eligible for free agency and social security benefits), Vince Young told reporters that he became more motivated than ever to prove he’s not the steaming piece of Leinart critics claim he has become.
The third overall selection in the 2006 draft, Young has a quarterback rating slightly higher than his deficient Wonderlic score and a career completion percentage that Tavaris Jackson called “embarrassing.”
This blinding failure, however, does not phase the delusional Longhorn legend. In a press release likely sent from one of Texas’ many insane asylums, Young claimed he feels better than ever and is ready to get back to throwing interceptions and alienating fans.
While it’s not clear whether or not Jeff Fisher believes in Young, every other member of the 2006 National Championship Texas team to fail miserably in the NFL feels the mobile quarterback still has a bright future and possesses Akili Smith potential.
